Assistant Professor of History Adi Gordon and his students in the class "On Nationalism" met at the Mead Art Museum for a session to view historical paintings about nationalism from the Mead Art Museum's collection.
There are no pre-requisites for the History major. Non-majors and new students are welcome to start with any course that interests them but should consider beginning with a course at the 100- or 200-level. Please see Getting Started in the Major for more information.
Transfer students: if you have questions about whether history courses that you have taken at previous institutions will count toward the major, please feel free to schedule an appointment to meet with the Chair of the History Department. You are allowed to petition for major credit for up to 3 courses taken elsewhere. Please see the Petition for History Major Course Credit form for more information on the petition process.
