Equipment
Recording Lectures or Presentations at Home
- Basic Video & Audio:
- Webcam
- Wired lapel microphone
- Lighting & Appearance:
- Sunlight spectrum photography light
- Floor Lamp
- Greenscreen
- Greenscreen stand
- Written materials (proofs, equations, illustrations):
- Smartphone
- Smartphone holder with tripod threading
- Tripod
- Flexible arm that can hold phone mount horizontally as a document camera
- Whiteboard (see “analog items”, below)
- Alternative or secondary/mobile recording (for locations not conducive to laptop & webcam)
Conferencing Remote Students into the Classroom, or Recording Class Sessions

- Students should use their personal devices to join the Zoom session (both in-person and remote.)

Software
For recording videos or screencasts
- Zoom: basic recording of screen and webcam.
- Kaltura Video: record, edit, and publish video to Moodle.
- Explain Everything: great for drawing or annotating on slides while talking.
