Overview of Events Guidelines

Review the below guidelines which are steps to complete in the registration process. You will need to complete this pertinent information provide information to the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership. It will assist in ensuring your event is a success.

  • Catering Information
    • Once approved for funding, RSOs can request to use AC dining services or local services (i.e. Delivery Express). 
  • Event Information
  • Food & Safety & Grill Procedures
  • Fundraising Policy
    • Orgs who fundraise must review the fundraising policy and notify the Student Engagement and Leadership as part of the event registration process. 
  • Funding Sources
    • Club Budget, Campus Activities Co-Sponsorship Fund, Student Engagement and Leadership Co-Sponsorship Fund, Assoc. of Amherst Students Discretionary Fund, Other
    • Funding can be purchased in advance through Student Engagement and Leadership or through check reimbursement
  • Film & Media Copyright Compliance
  • Fire Safety
  • Publicity
  • Type of Event
    • Cultural, Group/Community Meal, Lecture, Meeting/Practice, Performance, etc.
  • Type of Space
    • Student Engagement and Leadership space or residence hall common space (you will need to meet with a CA)
