Mammoth Families

Welcome Amherst College families! Students arriving at Amherst are joining a close-knit, thriving community devoted to excellence in the liberal arts. Parents and families are an integral part of that community.

We invite you to take full advantage of the many opportunities we offer parents and families to join in the exploration, discovery, and connections that make the Amherst experience so wonderful.

Financial Resources

Families often have questions regarding tuition, payment options, on-campus job opportunities, and student health insurance.

  • Visit the office of Student Accounts to set up Authorized Users for bill payments, view bills, make payments, submit health insurance and tuition insurance waivers – and more.
  • Find information for your student about applying for and viewing their financial aid offers, as well as FAQs for families from the office of Financial Aid.
  • Whether or not your student receives financial aid, they are eligible to work on campus. More information is available at Student Employment.
  • The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires health insurance for all full-time students. Learn more about student health insurance and the Gallagher Student Health Plan.
