Richard Rodriguez, runner-up for the Pulitzer Prize in nonfiction and master of the "personal essay" and Victor Hanson, a senior fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace  addressed the issue of immigration. Moderated by Assistant Professor of American Studies and Sociology and Faculty Co-coordinator Carleen Basler.

Public Education Network President and Founder Wendy Puriefoy and education policy expert William Howell were joined by Jere Hochman, Superintendent of Amherst Regional Public Schools and Michael Morris '00 , 5th and 6th grade teacher at Fort River School, to discuss issues of school choice and educational access. Moderated by Assistant Professor of History and Black Studies and Faculty Co-Coordinator Hilary Moss.
