Association events featuring College speakers are often planned in conjunction with a lunch or reception scheduled by the Advancement Office for a select group of Amherst alumni in the same city. While these invitees will be invited to attend both the invitation-only event and the open association event, most will choose to attend only one. Thus some selected members of your association may have questions relating to the two events. The OAPP will do its best to inform the event organizer if an “Amherst Table” is also on the schedule. Likewise, the President and his trip managers will often meet individually with selected alumni who may not want to commit to a second Amherst function on the same day.
