LOUDON - The Rev. John S. Read, 89, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at Golden Pond Communities in Winter Garden, Fla. He was born in St. Louis, the son of Edward and Louise (Campbell) Read.
He was a graduate of Andover-Newton Theological Seminary, and while he was there, he was a student minister in Oakham and New Braintree, Mass.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force as a pilot on a B-17G Bomber.
He served seven years at the Littleton Congregational Church
