September 10, 2013—Introducing Mead activity totes!
The Mead now offers kid-friendly activity totes for children and their families to borrow while visiting the museum. Kids can dress up like Indiana Jones, with explorer vest and pith helmet, and hunt for artifacts in the galleries. Families can curl up in a cozy armchair and read a picture book of Greek mythology. Budding archaeologists will each receive a take-home gallery notebook to record their discoveries, inspired by real-life scientific field journals.
The theme of the debut activity tote is "Dig into Art," which complements the Massachusetts Libraries summer reading program, "Dig into Reading." A new activity-tote theme will roll out every 6 months. Bring your little explorer and check one out today!
