Study abroad can be an integral part of a student's academic career and can greatly enhance personal and intellectual growth. For the past 10 years, an average of 40 percent of the Amherst College junior class has spent at least one semester studying abroad around the world. Janna Behrens, the study abroad adviser, will moderate a panel of students who will discuss the affordability of study abroad, the range of programs students attend and how the college is increasing the diversity of students who study abroad, particularly among first-generation students and students of color. Come learn how study abroad can be a part of your Amherst experience and be attractive to potential employers and graduate schools.
