American pianist Jonathan Biss is celebrated for his artistry, musical intelligence and deeply felt interpretations of a broad repertoire. Described by "The New Yorker" as playing with "unerring sophistication," Biss has won international recognition for his recitals, chamber music and recordings. At Amherst, he will perform solo works by Schumann, Beethoven and Berg.

The box office for this performance opens on Monday, Oct. 22. Ticket prices are $28 for the general public, $22 for senior citizens and $12 for students. Amherst College students are admitted free.
