Philippe Abrams is the happy manager of the postal service in a charming town in the South of France. He does everything to get a job at an office on the Mediterranean seaside to make his depressed wife happy. The trouble is that he is caught red-handed while trying to scam an inspector. Philippe is immediately banished to the distant unheard town of Bergues, in the Far North of France.
