Events & Calendars Auditions for "Lungs," by Duncan Macmillan

In a time of global anxiety, terrorism, erratic weather and political unrest, a young couple want a child but are running out of time. If they overthink it, they'll never do it. But if they rush, it could be a disaster. They want to have a child for the right reasons. Except, what exactly are the right reasons? And what will be the first to destruct-- the planet or the relationship?

The play will be staged in a minimal, intimate setting, and the focus of the process will be the relationship and the stories of these two people.

Auditions will be on Nov. 13 and 14 in Studio 2, Webster 122, at 7 p.m. One role, M: A man, will be cast from auditions. W will be played by Leslie.

Rehearsals begin Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, and performances are Feb. 21-23.

No advance preparation is necessary to audition. However, actors will be asked to read from scenes from the play, and a perusal copy of the script, along with copies of the scene selections, are available in the Theater and Dance Lounge in Webster Hall. We encourage you to take a look at the material in advance if possible.
