Alex Morse, current mayor of Holyoke, whose historical election last fall has helped to revitalize the hope of Holyoke, will be giving a public talk at Amherst College on Wednesday evening, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Cole Assembly Room in Converse Hall. A native of Holyoke who attended Brown University as an urban studies major, Mayor Morse, at age 23, is the youngest elected mayor in the city's history. His platform on educational and economic reform has already been put into motion with his actions regarding casino development and restructuring of public school curriculum.
