Michael Witmore, director of the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C., will present the keynote address of the Amherst-Folger Summit, a gathering of faculty, students, deans, librarians and trustees from Amherst College and the Folger. Witmore is a scholar of Renaissance literature and a pioneer in the digital analysis of Shakespeare’s texts. Before his appointment as the Folger's seventh director in 2011, he was Professor of English at the University of Wisconsin. The public is welcome at his lecture.
