You may be at or near the point of your thesis where you are ready to take a step back and assess where you are and where you want to be. How has the scope of your project shifted? Have you read widely and now need to find focus and depth? Or has your intense focus given your tunnel vision, and now you want to approach your topic from a new perspective? Writing Center associate Jessica Gorman and Librarian Dunstan McNutt will lead a discussion of research and writing practices that can help you assess where your project is at and prepare you for the next steps.

***

If you are writing a thesis, you are not alone! Find support, camaraderie and useful strategies in discussions with fellow writers, facilitated by Writing Center and Library staff. We will meet every Friday at 2 p.m. in the Frost Library Café.

Each week we’ll have a different discussion topic, from interview techniques to PDF annotation apps to time management. Future topics will be listed here and on our Facebook page.
