For all those interested in international education and/or international development, please join us November 14 for a unique opportunity to meet with one of our recent alumni.
Christian Desrosiers ’10 spent the year after he graduated from Amherst College as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Indonesia and the following year working for an educational organization, Abaarso Tech, in Somaliland, the autonomous province in northwest Somalia. He is currently working on two projects in Somalia with a socially-responsible investment firm that he co-founded with two Somali colleagues and another Amherst alumnus, Nigel Carr '10. He will be on campus Wednesday, November 14 discussing his experiences and numerous ideas for opportunities for teaching abroad and/or exploring related opportunities. Christian found both years distinctly formative, deepening his involvement with and understanding of both international education and international development. One of his students from Somalia will be attending too.
We look forward to seeing you from 4:00-5:00pm on November 14 in Room 208, Converse Hall.
If you have questions and/or plan to attend, please RSVP to Suzanne Spencer at sspencer@amherst.edu
