On Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 4:30 p.m. in Room 100 Clark House, Andrea Brady, senior lecturer of contemporary and modern literature at Queen Mary University of London, will present a paper entitled “To Weep Irish: Early Modern Mourning, The Law and Nationality.” This is the second presentation in a series of seminars that will take place this year on the theme “Law & Mourning.”

Brady is the author of "English Funerary Elegy in the Seventeenth Century: Laws in Mourning" and "The Uses of the Future in Early Modern Europe." Her research interests include poetry and politics, ritual, embodiment, theories of the imagination and the material conditions of writing.
