Events & Calendars Fall Faculty Book Party

Please join us Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 4 p.m. in Frost Library's Friendly Reading Room to celebrate recent publications by Amherst College faculty. Discussions will focus on Robert Doran’s recent commentary on 2 Maccabees, Luca Grillo’s "The Art of Caesar’s Bellum Civile" and Geoffrey Sanborn’s "Whipscars and Tattoos: 'The Last of the Mohicans,' 'Moby Dick' and the Maori." The authors will each be introduced by a colleague and then give a presentation about their work, including comments on their research and writing process. This event is free and open to the public; light snacks will be provided.
