The School for Field Studies (www.fieldstudies.org) is one of the largest and oldest organizations that offers study-abroad programs focused on environmental science and biology. All of our programs are centered around field-based environmental research with an additional emphasis on aiding and working with local communities where our field stations are located. Studying abroad with SFS provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable research experience out in the field; explore and understand a unique and diverse part the world; work side by side with professionals and fellow students from all over the U.S.; and take classes focused on ecology, natural resource management, directed research and environmental policy.

Currently SFS offers programs in Australia, Panama, Kenya and Tanzania, Costa Rica, Turks and Caicos and Bhutan. Visit the website for more information on each of these exciting programs. Come speak with Mike Miller, SFS rep, at his info table in Valentine Dining Hall on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or at his info session later that afternoon at 4:30 p.m. in the Career Center.
