Michael Tyrell is the author of the poetry collection "The Wanted," which Michael Collier called “sharp-eyed, intellectually inventive, playful, and darkly humorous… Tyrell looks at himself and cleaves the essential human matter of his perceptions onto the provocative and often sinuous lines of his verse.” Tyrell’s poems have appeared in "The New Republic," "The New York Times" and "Ploughshares," among many other publications. With Julia Spicher Kasdorf, he edited the anthology "Broken Land: Poems of Brooklyn" (New York University Press, 2007). He lives in New York and teaches writing at NYU.
Event is free and open to the public and will be followed by refreshments.
