Top off Kay Ryan's poetry reading and award presentation (http://bit.ly/Vu6ibs) with a rare evening reception at the Homestead and The Evergreens.

Experience The Evergreens as a 19th-century time capsule dressed up for holiday cheer. For the first time in decades, The Evergreens will ring with music as internationally renowned pianist Estela Olevsky brings Martha Dickinson Bianchi's 1904 Steinway to life with selections that were part of Martha Dickinson Bianchi's personal collection as well as other works by some of her favorite composers: Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Liszt and Anton Rubinstein.

At the Homestead, guests may join a sherry-tasting in the parlor, where Dickinson served her own guests. They'll have an opportunity to examine several recent acquisitions for the "Replenishing the Shelves" project to reconstruct the Dickinson family library holdings. A video presentation about Kay Ryan's career will be on view, and a poet may just be at work in Emily Dickinson's bedroom. Light refreshments will be served.
