Ken Kalfus is the author of three novels, including "A Disorder Peculiar to the Country," which was a finalist for the 2006 National Book Award and, most recently, "Equilateral," which Kirkus describes as "mesmerizing" and NPR calls "a compact and deeply satisfying work of fiction." He has also published two collections of stories, "Thirst," and "Pu-239 and Other Russian Fantasies." A film adaptation of the short story "Pu-239" aired on HBO in 2007. Kalfus has written for Harper's, The New York Review of Books and The New York Times. He lives in Philadelphia.
