Events & Calendars Christmas Vespers

The annual Amherst College Christmas Vespers is held on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 4 pm and 7:30 p.m. in Johnson Chapel at Amherst College. Mallorie Chernin directs the Amherst College Choral Society, assisted by Joseph Taff '13. They are joined by the Amherst College Madrigal Singers, directed by Julia Edholm '15 and Asa Goodwillie '16. Other musicians include the Amherst College Flute Choir, organist James Maes and trumpeters Douglas Purcell and Luca Antonucci '14.

Please join in the singing of traditional carols and the "Hallelujah Chorus" from The Messiah. The lessons for this traditional “Festival of Lessons and Carols” are read by faculty, staff, students and children of faculty and staff of Amherst College.

Free. No tickets required. A massive fire destroyed small businesses on Route 9 in Hadley on Sunday October 27th. We will provide an opportunity for financial donations to help these businesses get back on their feet. The Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce will give 100% of these contributions to the fire victims.
