Drawing on a variety of theatre techniques used by experienced actors to relax, focus their message and connect with an audience, this 90 minute interactive workshop coaches students in the art of confident and powerful communication. Participants are guided to uncover their unique strengths and overcome obstacles to delivering their message, whether speaking up in a classroom, presenting research results or pitching an entrepreneurial idea! Taught by Susan Daniels, a professional actor, director and educator who serves on the faculty of Mount Holyoke College in both the Department of Theatre Arts and the Weissman Center for Leadership.

Note: this session will repeat much of the content of October's workshop, but students who wish to continue to practice and experiment with public speaking are welcome to attend.
