Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit organization that provides highly trained assistance dogs free of charge to people with disabilities. Every future service dog is first placed with a puppy raiser for socialization and obedience training—this means that Canine Companions needs a lot of puppy raisers, and college students are a great choice!

We are preparing a proposal to submit a new theme house centered around puppy raising for Canine Companions. The members of this theme house would work together to raise a future service dog for Canine Companions. At the interest meeting, we'll talk about what Canine Companions for Independence is, what puppy raising means and involves, and the proposal for the theme house. We are especially looking for people that would like to live in the theme house if our proposal is accepted for the 2016-17 academic year!
