WGC Talk Back Series: Witches in Halloween

October 14, 2016 - 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm (already occurred)

Witches are the go-to costume for Halloween, but how has societal perceptions of witches changed over time? What causes us to hate the Wicked Witch of the West yet love Sabrina, the teenage witch? Join the Women’s and Gender Center on Friday, October 14 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the WGC for out first discussion in our “Talk Back Series” with Professor Sanchez-Eppler as we trace our denial and acceptance of witches within history and pop culture. Halloween and witches treats will be provided!
