Frost Library, First Floor

Thursday, Oct. 20 is the National Day on Writing, and this year's theme is "Write for Change!" The Writing Center, Library, Queer Resource Center and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion invite all students, staff and faculty to join us on the first floor of Frost Library, noon-4 p.m. to create zines, contribute to the QRC community journal, write activist poetry, letters, and op/eds, and to share what we write with each other, the library and the college archives. #whyIwrite

Tentative Schedule of Events:
12-4: Make a zine! Learn a simple design for a one-page zine you can create, copy, fold and share. (from the Library)
1-2: Workshop: Poetry that Makes Things Happen with Emily Merriman, writing associate
2-3: Workshop: Write it Like you Mean it! with Cassie Sanchez
2-4: Community Journal and Letter-Writing with the Queer Resource Center.

Spontaneous, sporadic opportunities to share your writing may arise!
All writers are invited to submit their writing for display in the library and for collection in the college archives!
