Pamela Rotner Sakamoto '84 will explore the hardships and resilience of the Fukuhara family, featured in her book Midnight in Broad Daylight: A Japanese American Family Caught Between Two Worlds. In this single family lies the stories of U.S. Army interpreters, Japanese Imperial Army soldiers, the internment of U.S. citizens and civilian victims of the bombing of Hiroshima.
