Beneski Museum of Natural History, Paino Lecture Room (107)

Join us for this year's Lazerowitz Lecture by Hannah Holleman, assistant professor of sociology and environmental studies at Amherst. Professor Holleman reinterprets the Dust Bowl on the U.S. southern plains as one dramatic and foreseeable regional manifestation of a global socio-ecological crisis generated by the political economy and ecology of settler colonialism and the new imperialism. What important lessons can we learn from this era for international environmental politics and policy today?

Reception to follow!

Free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
