Events & Calendars A Celebration of the Life of Jeffrey Ferguson

On Sunday, May 6 at 2:30 p.m., the Amherst College community will gather with family and friends to celebrate the life of Jeffrey B. Ferguson, the Karen and Brian Conway '80, P'18 Presidential Teaching Professor of Black Studies. Among his many achievements, Jeff designed the curriculum in Black Studies that has benefited so many Amherst students. In a letter to the community, President Biddy Martin described Jeff as "a remarkable intellectual, an innovative teacher, and a wonderful human being". Following the memorial, there will be a reception at the Lewis-Sebring Commons in Valentine Dining Hall.
