Body image affects all of us, but does it affect all of us in the same way? Join the SHEs at "Don't Tell Me to Love My Body: Fatphobia and Body Liberation," a workshop led virtually by Isy Abraham-Raveson, M.Ed. This workshop will encourage us to explore our relationship with our own body as well as our relationships with the systems of oppression that shape our relationships with our bodies (e.g. fatphobia, racism, misogyny, etc.).

Isy Abraham-Raveson (she/they) is a sexuality educator based in Philadelphia. She has a Master’s degree in sexuality education from Widener University and a Bachelor’s degree in Gender and Sexuality Studies from Williams College. Isy co-founded the organization YES! (Your Empowered Sexuality!), which provides intersectional, consent-based sexuality education to people of all ages. She has led workshops on fatphobia and body liberation at a variety of locations, including the National Sex Ed Conference, the AASECT conference, Harvard University, and Haverford College. Isy also facilitates trainings for parents on how to talk to their children about sexuality in such locations as the Trans Wellness Conference and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). For Isy, sexuality education is social justice work.
