Casa de Esperanza is a non-profit organization in Houston, Texas providing residential care to children ages birth through six years old who are in crisis due to abuse, neglect, or the effects of HIV. Care is provided in our residential neighborhood by our Hands of Hope Service Year House Parents. House Parents join us for a year of service (generally after finishing their undergraduate degree- although this is not a requirement) and come from all majors- the single unifying factor for all of our House Parents is the desire to serve vulnerable young children. In our program House Parents arrive and complete training as a small group. We accept and process applications on a rolling basis and applicants can indicate their desired start date on their application.
