Religious & Spiritual Life is partnering with Williams College for an online spiritual retreat led by the brothers of Holy Cross Monastery in West Park, NY. The retreat focuses on practices of prayers for these times and starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, January 15, and continues throughout the next day. Register at the link below by January 14.

STEM Internship Info Session and Student Panel

Are you seeking an internship in the STEM fields or considering applying for one in the future? Join the Bio Steering Committee and Loeb Center advisor Dr. Carolyn Margolin for a presentation with tips on how and where to find and apply for internships, how to create a competitive application (including resume and personal statement tips), and much more.

After the presentation, student panelists who have participated in a wide variety of internships will answer questions about their experiences and offer their insight and advice for students seeking summer experiences.

This event will be particularly helpful to first years and sophomores preparing for their first internships, though all members of the Amherst community are welcome.

Workday 101 sessions for managers and supervisors will focus on manager self-service tasks such as approving items for employees as well as managing and supporting their team. Sessions will also review employee self-service topics.

Convince Me! Persuasive Speaking Workshop

The ability to write and speak persuasively is an essential life skill. Whether you are presenting an argument in class, applying for a job or running for public office, you need to be persuasive and compelling. Through learning and practicing how to structure and deliver a persuasive speech, this 90-minute workshop will prepare you to master the art and craft of persuasion. Open to all interested students.
