If you’d like to hear a wide variety of poets bravely sharing their work, be sure to tune in to our Festival open mic night! Following the open mic, participants will be treated to a poetry reading by festival headliner Franny Choi. Reader spots are full, but the audience is still open!

The Tell It Slant Poetry Festival (formerly the Amherst Poetry Festival) is a free event that celebrates the poetic legacy of Emily Dickinson and the contemporary creativity of the Connecticut River Valley and beyond.
This year’s festival will be held remotely; the schedule is now live and includes headliners Ada Limón, Jericho Brown, Kimaya Diggs, Franny Choi, Shayla Lawson and, as is tradition, the Emily Dickinson Marathon. Sign up for events through the schedule page!
