Amherst College's award-winning literary magazine The Common celebrates the release of Issue 21 with authors from around the world. Please join writers Aleksandar Hemon, Celeste Mohammed and Abdelaziz Errachidi, as well as translator Nariman Youssef, for brief readings followed by conversation about place, culture and translation, hosted by the magazine's editor in chief Jennifer Acker.

Join the Amherst Political Union in hosting Associated Press journalist Kat Stafford! Stafford is a national investigative reporter who focuses on race and ethnicity. Prior to the Associated Press, Stafford worked as an investigative reporter at the Detroit Free Press, where her reporting on lead poisoning and housing demolitions prompted congressional reviews and policy changes.
