Constructing Presentations for High-Impact Communication

All summer research students are invited to describe their efforts and results at the annual Summer Research Presentation during the first week of the Fall semester. This class will help you produce a presentation that will get your message across here and at many other conferences.
This workshop will build on design principles to show you how to construct your presentation, including adding text, photos, illustrations, and graphics, and applying special effects. We will use Microsoft PowerPoint, a popular program to build computer presentations. It can also be used to lay out print posters, so we will also discuss some elements of poster design. Summer Thesis Research Table
The Thesis Research Table is a weekly Zoom gathering for students beginning large, independent research projects (including but not limited to honors theses). The Table is a time to build a network of support from peers and instructional staff from the Writing Center and Library, to build skills useful for sustaining remote research projects, and to share strategies for balancing productivity and wellness in an uncertain time. Each week will focus on an aspect of the research and writing process, with topics announced through the Daily Mammoth. Drop in or attend regularly.
