Senior Assembly

Held on the last day of classes, Senior Assembly is the annual celebration for the graduating class. Graduating seniors gather in Johnson Chapel to commemorate their time at Amherst College, to celebrate their bright futures and to experience the next step in their educational journey together with their peers.

Senior Assembly is April 28, 2017. Graduating seniors should gather—in caps and gowns—no later than 4:35 p.m. on the Quad side of Johnson Chapel. If it's raining, the line will form indoors—but bring an umbrella just in case; remember, gowns sometimes bleed when they get wet.

Senior Assembly will feature the awarding of prizes and honorary class memberships and speeches by Tess Frenzel '17, Seanna McCall '17 and Leah Schmalzbauer, associate professor of American studies and sociology.
