The third Saturday of every month is Family Fun Day at the Mead! Join the Mead’s educators for drop-in craft activities between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and a gallery talk at 1:00 p.m. intended for ages 5+ that includes a picture-book reading related to artworks on view.
Family Fun Days are FREE and open to the public.
The Wilder Observatory on Snell Street is free and open to all, starting at 9 p.m. every clear Saturday from April through October. See (if they're in the sky at the time) the moon, planets, asteroids, comets, multiple stars, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and more through the large, world-class refractor telescope. Students, faculty, staff, community members, family and friends are welcome. Weekend programs are provided in partnership with the Astronomy Association.
