The Spanish Table is an informal way to practice and improve your Spanish language skills, and a fun opportunity to meet new people. It is held every Friday, from noon to 2 p.m., on the Mezzanine Level of Valentine Dining Hall. Students of all levels, faculty, staff and community members meet weekly in a relaxed setting over lunch. No need to register! Just grab some lunch and go upstairs!
Join the Queer Resource Center and our queer counselors, Dr. Darien & Dr. Erickson, for a weekly discussion about experiences and topics related to the queer/trans community at Amherst. There will be snacks, company and great conversation!
On Friday, Nov. 17, join Boycott, Cordelia's Dad and Monument Thief at Marsh Arts House for an eclectic evening of music as Cordelia's Dad celebrates 30 years since its debut concert in the same venue. The concert begins at 7:30. This event is free and open to the public.
Did you say eclectic? Why, yes.
Boycott: Lady brass band bringing '90s pop jams, NOLA funk and everything in between.
Cordelia's Dad: The only band to have performed with both Nirvana and Doc Watson.
Monument Thief: A two-piece Rhode Island-based rock group.
Kick off your November break with the Office of Residential Life and the Center for International Student Engagement for our second Movie Night this on November 17 from 9:30-11:30 p.m in the Charles Pratt common room. For the second installation in the program, we will be watching "Taare Zameen Par" from India. The goal of this series of events is to show movies from different countries in celebration of our Amherst global community and appreciation of various art forms. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
