Chinese Language Table

If you are interested in having more opportunities to speak Chinese, then join us twice a week for lunch! The Chinese Language Table is open to students, faculty and staff who would like to have conversations in Chinese. All levels are welcome.

Mastering the Internship Interview

Internship interviews can be stressful, but they don’t have to be. Join us to learn how to best prepare for interview day, to answer challenging questions and to present yourself in a professional manner. *This workshop will fulfill the Internship Preparation Workshop requirement for the Charles Hamilton Houston Internship Program.*

Insight (Mindfulness) Meditation Group

Whether you have meditated for a long time or have never meditated, come join us for this time of practice together. Come to relax, quiet your mind, learn how to experience less suffering and stress, explore Buddhist philosophy and psychology, or just talk about what it means to live from compassion and awareness or because you are curious. The group will be led by Buddhist Advisor Mark Hart.

La Terrasse: French Table

Faculty, students and staff are all welcome to join our French language assistants for informal French conversation over dinner. All levels of French are welcome! We look forward to meeting you!

The Noah Garabedian Quartet

The Noah Garabedian Quartet is based in New York City and is led by bassist and composer Noah Garabedian. The band includes Carmen Staaf on piano, Raffi Garabedian on saxophone and Jimmy Macbride on drums. Their debut album, Where Fables Meet, will be released in Spring 2020. When not on the road or performing at New York’s premiere venues, the ensemble enjoys Stephen King novels, spicy noodles and animal memes.
