Understanding Sex Work and Ethical Porn: A SHE Sex Week Social Media Campaign

Get to know about sex work and ethical porn consumption with the SHEs! Follow the Student Health Educators Facebook page and Instagram account, @ac_she, to learn more about what sex work is and ways to ethically engage with pornography as part of our second Sex Week social media campaign.

Movement and Mindfulness Morning Workshops with Molly Kitchen

The OHR Learning & Development invites you to kick-start your day with invigorating, accessible movement as well as a few minutes of grounding meditation with Molly Kitchen. These workshops will set you up for a calm, focused day and provide you with practical mindfulness tools you can use and reuse any time. Schedule these breaks as a fun way to start your week, as well as to learn tips for keeping that energy alive each day.

German Table on the Zoomklatsch channel!
Please join us every Monday anytime from 11:45am-1pm EDT for our zoom German Table gathering, an hour of fun chatting auf Deutsch with faculty, language assistants, students and staff. All are welcome, including German 101 students!
If you would like to participate please email your request to german@amherst.edu with your name and email address. You will then receive an invitation to join each weekly German Table zoom meeting on our Zoomklatsch channel at the appropriate time, which you can accept or decline as always. You can also remove yourself at any time from the Zoomklatsch channel.

Math/Stat Table on Zoom

Math/Stat Table is an informal social time for students and faculty to get together and chat. There's no need to be majoring in Math or Stat; all are welcome. Please join us on zoom any time between noon and 1:30 pm on Mondays.
The Zoom link will be sent to the Math & Stats listserv on the Friday before in the weekly update email. If you are not part of that group and would like to attend, please email kglista@amherst.edu and the link will be sent to you.

Biology Monday Seminar: The Search for Evidence of Life Beyond Earth

Alfonso Davila, Ph.D., research scientist at NASA Ames Research Center/Exobiology Branch, will speak on "The Search for Evidence of Life Beyond Earth."

Davila's research focuses on the search for evidence of life beyond Earth, and currently he is helping develop several mission concepts to search for evidence of life on Mars and Enceladus, a small moon of Saturn. Davila has participated in more than 15 field expeditions in the Atacama Desert, a Mars-like environments, and has published numerous papers and book chapters on the microbial communities that inhabit the driest parts of the Atacama. Davila has also participated in multiple field expeditions in Antarctica, another Mars-like environment, and in other extreme deserts.

There are many pathways to take when choosing to study psychology. Students may focus on research, treatment, marketing, industry, or a multitude of other side roads. Join Amherst Professor Kneeland '10 and Amherst alum Tyler Tory- Murphy '10 (currently marketing with Google Pixel) as they discuss their thought and decision-making process in becoming psychology majors and the opportunities available to them once they declared. Open to all students. First-years encouraged!

Join the Student Health Educators in the Department of Health Education for Sex Week, an annual period of programming to bring awareness to sexual health, diversity, and pleasure.

Description: This week will center posts related to better understanding sex work and how to consume porn ethically.

Weekly Sex Week Trivia
At the end of each week the SHEs will post trivia questions related to that week's social media and program topics. Participants who answer correctly each week will be entered in a raffle for a sex & sexuality related book.
