LitFest celebrates our extraordinary literary life by bringing to campus distinguished authors and editors to share and discuss the pleasures and challenges of verbal expression—from fiction and nonfiction, to poetry and spoken-word performance.

Pindar Field Student Dinner Series

Conceived by a member of the class of 2013, the Pindar Dinners “encourage students to engage outside of their comfort zones and standard social groups.”

Student Activities

The Office of Student Activities provides programs, facilities, and support for co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including weekly social events. They provide advisement, direction, and leadership training to many groups across campus.

Thanksgiving Community Dinner

The Thanksgiving Community Dinner is held at the Inn on Boltwood. Amherst College students who are on campus during the November break are invited to enjoy a menu of seasonal favorites as they converse with new and old friends.

Undergraduate Awards Ceremony

The annual Undergraduate Awards ceremony recognizes the outstanding work of first-years, sophomores, and juniors throughout the year. Prizes are awarded in 14 areas of study, as well as for scholarship and citizenship.
