The Amherst College Seal

The official Amherst College seal is a refined version of the seal used in 1949.

The serif font is Trajan, the same font used in the College wordmark. The year of charter appears at the bottom. The College motto, “Terras Irradient,” appears in a sans serif font, positioned between the sunburst and the book illustrations.
