To be recognized as an official College account and listed on the Amherst College Social Media Directory, accounts are expected to meet the standards listed below. If your account(s) need to be added or if you need help meeting these standards, please contact or fill out a Social Media Request Form. The Office of Communications may remove any accounts from the directory if they do not abide by these guidelines:

  • Registration with the Office of Communications
  • College-compliant social media icons cross-platform
  • Active (must have posted within the last 30 days)
  • Accessible: utilizing alternate text, utilizing captions on videos, etc.
  • Account manager must be a College staff or faculty member
