Dear Amherst Students, Staff, and Faculty,
I’m writing to let you know that we received a positive COVID-19 test result for a staff member today. This individual reported being in contact with a family member on Monday who tested positive on Tuesday. This staff member tested negative on Tuesday—and has not returned to work since—before testing positive on Thursday. They are now in isolation at home and feeling well. Per our protocol, we conducted contact tracing, and several other staff members who came into contact with this individual on Tuesday have been moved to 14-day quarantine as a precaution. All of these individuals will be tested today (outside of regular Testing Center operating hours) and will continue to be tested throughout their quarantine period.
The recently expanded dashboard has been updated, as it is each weekday morning.
