The purpose of this page is to keep the Amherst College community updated on the status of the global COVID-19 outbreak and how the College is anticipating and responding to its impact on our community. We continue to closely monitor the situation and are in constant contact with state and local public health officials, colleagues at the Five Colleges and other relevant parties. This site will be updated as often as possible, including information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other trusted sources. At present, there are no known cases of COVID-19 in our community.

COVID-19: Important Message About Post-Spring Break Remote Learning

The COVID-19 virus continues to spread and affect many parts of the U.S. and the rest of the world. Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has announced that we are past the point of being able to contain this disease. While there continue to be no reported cases of the virus on our campus, we need to focus on mitigating its possible effects.
