The award-winning St. Lawrence String Quartet has built its reputation as one of the world’s premier string quartets by performing with vivid color and exceptional teamwork. Described by The Washington Post as “fearless musicians whose spontaneity stretches past conventional interpretation and probes the music’s imaginative limits,” the ensemble is lauded for its warmth, precision and vibrancy.

Returning to Amherst after many years away, the St. Lawrence String Quartet will perform an innovative program of Beethoven, Britten and Verdi.
