Come do a fun, easy writing project that will result in a vivid picture of someone important to you. With just the right details, organized just the right way, you will be able to capture something essential about your subject, enabling the reader to see this person in his or her mind’s eye. This workshop offers you the opportunity to practice-- in just 60 minutes --an entire writing process, from collecting or generating details, to finding a focus, to selecting and organizing details, to re-seeing and then polishing the whole. And you may well have, as a result, a gift for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, or just something to display on your refrigerator at home. The workshop will be led by Kristen Brookes, senior writing associate.
