Photojournalist and longtime death-penalty abolition activist Scott Langley will present an hour-by-hour walk-through of what happens on an execution night, taking the viewer from the prison deathwatch cell into the actual lethal-injection chamber. The presentation also includes original photos from execution vigils (both for and against the death penalty), marches, rallies, portraits of exonerated death row prisoners, candid emotional and prayerful moments, and even celebrities who are outspoken on the issue.

In the presentation, each image is accompanied by a story and also background information about the issue the photo represents. This provides the audience with facts and current information about the death penalty in the United States, combining art, journalism and education into one powerful project.

Refreshments will be provided.

This event is sponsored by Amnesty International and AAS.
