As part of his multifaceted career, Dr. Thierry Pauyo ’05 has worked in Haiti as part of his dedication to international aid efforts in orthopedic care. A professor and orthopedic surgeon, Thierry works with Partners in Health to develop greater capacities for orthopedic care in Cange and at l’Hopital Universitaire de Mirebalais, which is on track to become the largest solar-powered hospital in the world. This evening lecture presents a great opportunity for students interested in global health to hear directly from a physician who has taken his values and his commitment to medicine into the realm of addressing health issues specific to countries like Haiti.
